I strictly believe that there are a few clothing items that every teenage girl needs to have this includes the famous racer-back tank top. The reason I love this clothing item so much is because you can wear it anyway you want.
You can dress it up and wear it with a skirt, or you can dress it down and wear it with some jeans. As a fellow teen trying to help everyone else be chic and fabulous, I say that if you don't have at least one of these in you closet, then a shopping trip should be planned in the near future.
Another thing I love about racer-backs is that they come in a lot of colors and can be layered with many of clothing items. The colors that should be seen in you closet really depend on your taste, but white and black are definite musts. You should also have a color that really pops.

I like racer backs. I got an idea a while back, and made one myself out of a plain, Hanes t-shirt. You just cut the sleeves at an angle. I'm kinda prude, so I wear my with a cardigan. They are really easy to make! You might have to sew the sides up though, depending on how large the shirt is.
